Servings: 4
Ingredients:
1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
2 1/2 cups bread flour
1/4 teaspoon rosemary
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon parsley
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 sprigs fresh rosemary, chopped
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 pears- peeled, cored and sliced
1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
Directions:
Step 1
Gather all ingredients. Heat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C), and lightly grease pizza pan with olive oil. If using a pizza stone, dust with cornmeal.
Step 2
Place warm water in a bowl; add yeast and sugar. Mix and let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.
Step 3
Add flour, oil, and salt to the yeast mixture; beat until smooth. Add in 1/4 teaspoon rosemary, oregano, and parsley while mixing. You can combine ingredients by hand or with a stand mixer and a dough hook attachment. Let rest for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Roll dough on a slightly floured surface, into a 12-inch circle. Transfer to pizza pan or pizza stone. Bake in preheated oven until just crisp, about 5 minutes.
Step 5
Combine garlic, Dijon mustard, rosemary, and vinegar in a food processor or blender. Blend ingredients, then add olive oil to mixture. Quickly pulse in 1/4 cup of blue cheese, season to taste with salt and pepper.
Step 6
Spread sauce over pizza crust. Sprinkle 1/4 cup blue cheese evenly over the crust, followed by the mozzarella cheese. Arrange the sliced pears over the cheese, and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
Step 7
Bake in preheated oven until the cheese has melted and is bubbly, approximately 7-10 minutes. Let cool slightly before cutting into slices.
Enjoy!
